Sarah’s recently completed MA in Fine Art explored themes around art and health; her practice is steeped in aspects of self care and management. Sarah focuses on the transformative possibilities and benefits of a cup of tea. Capturing the extent of the small doses of self support from the mundane, she collects and dries spent teabags from the cups of tea she drinks, to yield visual evidence of the interactions. Large structural forms created with the many individual teabags reflect the value of the moments of self soothing. Sarah’s practice serves as a scaffold enabling her to subconsciously confrontthe complexities of the mind to process the mental and physical obstacles of the quotidian.
