The Sky Calls To Us
Online Exhibition
Deadline: 30th September 2023
OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS
Patience Gallery is pleased to announce its second online exhibition, The Sky Calls to Us. The sky has been a source of inspiration for many artists, including the likes of Constable and Turner, for centuries. The wandering clouds, sunrises and sunsets we see everyday as well as the space beyond our skies never seem to lose their intrigue. This exhibition will explore our scientific, romantic and creative relationship with something that is seemingly ‘empty’ yet undeniably fascinating.
We are calling for artists to submit visual artworks in response to this theme. Specifically, works that depict imagery or visual interpretations of the sky. Works can be of the following mediums:
Drawing
Painting
Printmaking
Photography
Sculpture
Video
The curatorial intention for this exhibition is simplicity. Through the work of a group of talented emerging and established artists, Patience Gallery hopes to celebrate the simple charm of the sky.
Please note: as this is an online exhibition, physical artworks will not be shown but will instead be represented through high quality images. However, we hope this could evolve to become a physical exhibition in the future.
The deadline for submissions is 30th September 2023.
